Big Wednesdays gives families and visitors a reason to stay out for the evening, enjoy the seafront after dusk and finish the night with fireworks over the coast.
The 2026 series runs across six Wednesdays from 22 July to 26 August. An AeroSPARX display is planned around dusk, followed by the main fireworks at 10pm.
Match your date to the planned launch area
- 22 July and 12 August: beach east of Anchor Gardens.
- 29 July and 19 August: beach east of Pleasure Beach Gardens.
- 5 August and 26 August: beach east of Jetty Car Park.
The locations are planned rather than guaranteed. Visit Great Yarmouth says the displays are weather-dependent and that changes will be announced through its channels.
Turn the display into a proper seafront evening
Lekthai at No. 50 Marine Parade and In the Mix at No. 51 are separate venues in the restaurant row close to Britannia Pier. They may fit an earlier meal when that part of Marine Parade suits the confirmed launch area. Neither venue should be treated as a guaranteed fireworks viewpoint.
